Commercial fishing project boat, boat restoration at Evolution Marine.

This large alloy boat was custom built for commercial fishing in Port Phillip Bay. An ideal project boat for restoration and conversion to a modern centre console fishing boat.

This large open boat was in poor condition, having been used for many years of commercial fishing in Port Phillip Bay.

An initial assessment of the hull determined the structural condition was good but the bottom required replacement due to many repairs.

This boat was too good to scrap and we made the decision to save and resurrect this project boat, knowing it was going to be a costly and time consuming project.

EMC-630CC Summary

Evolution Marine's full custom rebuild/conversion of a 6.0 metre commercial alloy fishing boat to an EMC-630CC centre console fishing boat.

Powered by Mercury L6 225 HP Supercharged Verado MY2011, with power steering, vessel link (engine gauges on Simrad MFD), DTS throttle/shift, cruise/speed/troll control. In excellent condition with service history and 700 hrs runtime.

A $50,000 custom installation of networked Simrad marine electronics and JL Audio Marine sound system. All current models (see details below).

Full hull rebuild with new alloy bottom and stringers. Hull painted with a full marine paint system, primer and topcoats
Marine ply flooring and built-in casting deck with storage hatches, all with full fibreglass wrap and flow coat with speckle finish
The underfloor is liquid foam filled for floatation and to reduce noise
Custom-made fibreglass centre console with built‑in bait tank, a 316 stainless steel T-Top, with front and side clears
Twin 85-litre fuel tanks with change‑over valve and digital gauges displayed on Simrad multifunction display
